Octotronic which was founded in 2020 by Alexej Ziegler is dedicated to enhancing smart factory operations. The Zurich-based startup has developed a unified data platform called OctoCore, which is built on the concept of a Unified Namespace and low code analytics tools. Designed to connect, structure, and transform shop floor and business data, OctoCore delivers the robust architecture needed for digital transformation.
Visense and Octotronic have merged to become OCTOTRONIC AG, fusing the startups’ extensive experience as smart factory integrators with Visense’s AI video analytics, low-code technology and product expertise. Visense’s machine observation use case through its video analytics application is available on OctoCore, empowering clients to achieve their digital transformation goals faster and with greater precision.
Following the merger, the newly founded company will be led by Alexej Ziegler, Christian Reich, Dennis Bleul, Marvin Thiele, Ronny Hintermann suported by a team of five employees.
