From intern to CEO
Power bank rental company Chimpy has bid farewell to co-founder and former CEO Andreas Braendle after ten years of spearheading the startup and building it into Europe’s leading sustainable powerbank rental business. He will assume a new role as the Chairman of the Board of the company. Edwin Winkler succeeds Braendle as the CEO. Winkler, with a Master of Science from ETH Zurich, has held numerous positions at Chimpy since starting as an intern in 2014. He had taught himself software development to write the first version of the Chimpy Retail API. Under his direction as COO, he helped transform the company into a multinational company. Most recently, Chimpy was able to expand its deal with Selecta, increasing its sales locations to around 2,500 in Switzerland alone. The company’s small green power banks are today also available in Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
From co-founder to CEO - MyCamper
Effective this month, Stefan Lieberherr has taken over the management of MyCamper, Switzerland's largest sharing platform, with over 2,000 camping vehicles rented from private individuals. He succeeds Michele Matt, who founded MyCamper AG in Basel in 2015. Stefan Lieberherr graduated from the University of St. Gallen before holding various roles in e-commerce and online marketing at startups, Google, Nestlé and siroop. Since 2018, he has been a co-founder at MyCamper and is responsible for marketing and product management.
Co-CEO for MoveAgain
Dominic Schuetz is the new co-CEO of relock/MoveAgain, the digital move-in assistant offering a wide range of services such as internet providers, insurance and furnishing services. He brings more than 12 years of professional experience, most of which in sales functions in the insurance industry. This will be highly valuable as he drives the company into the next phase. His appointment comes as the company accelerates its strategic growth and development. He will co-lead the company with Alexander Renner.
Invenda appoints new CTO
Founded in 2017 by CEO Jon Brezinski, Invenda Group specializes in developing both software and hardware for automated retail – vending machines, micro-market kiosks, smart fridges, digital signage – as well as sales-increasing strategies like advertising, gamification, and Big Data projects. Thanks to Invenda’s smart IoT solutions and DOOH possibilities, its customers see an average sales lift of 50%. Its software makes advertising, sales, inventory management, and logistics cheaper and more efficient than ever. To drive its growth further, the company has hired Jeremy Seitz as its CTO. With his vast experience and know-how, Seitz plans to further develop Invenda’s tech strategy and coordinate its fast-growing engineering teams
Serial founder becomes CTO at Acredius
Fernando Félix has assumed the position of Chief Technology Officer within Acredius after four years of being with the startup. Félix brings with him over 20 years of experience in managing technical development teams, with around 2500 projects developed in several countries worldwide. As a serial entrepreneur, he founded more than 10 companies in the sectors of design, software, marketing and consulting. In his new role as CTO, he will spearhead the technical build-out of Acredius’ ecosystem. The startup built an online match-making platform for investors and borrowers to meet in an unconventional, digital, intuitive and safe environment.
Araris welcomes Chief Business Officer
Araris Biotech AG, a company pioneering a proprietary antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)-linker technology has appointed Filippo Mulinacci to the position of the chief business officer. Mulinacci brings a strong background in business development, strategic partnering activities involving technology platforms and clinical and preclinical stage oncology products, contract negotiation and alliance management experience to the team. He joins Araris from Basilea Pharmaceutica International Ltd in Allschwil, Switzerland, where he was responsible for partnering activities in the oncology space, including the recent strategic divestment of Basilea’s early-stage oncology portfolio. Prior to this role, his experience included serving as Head of Business Development and Licensing at Philochem AG, a subsidiary of Philogen S.p.A. (BIT:PHIL), Global Business Development Manager at F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG in the Roche Partnering Venture & Innovation team and previous pharmaceutical research experience at Serono SA.
