Female Founder Summit brings together female founders and investors to empower female founders and to elevate their role in the start-up ecosystem in Switzerland. The first Female Founder Summit hosted by Women Way was successful with 300 attendees of which 80% were Women, 50% Founders, 25% Future Founders, 25% Investors, Corporates, & Startup-Support. 11 seed and early stage startups – including Caru, Cutiss, Elixseri, Evermore Includeed, LuckaBox, Plair, RethinkResource, Therapeutic Gaming Lab, ThinkEE, and Women's Opportunity Fund – pitched to the audience. While speakers in the panel discussions highlighted the status of the Swiss Startup Ecosystem, Keynote speaker Ilona Simpson advised Women advised women on how to become successful.
This year, the second edition of the Female Founders Summit will take place on 6th November from 2pm to 8pm at Kunsthaus Auditorium in Zurich. Up to 11 female startup founders will have the opportunity to pitch to the audience in the first part of the event from 2 pm to 5 pm at Villa Tobler. Every startup will have 6 minutes to present its case, followed by 6 minutes of Q&A. Startups founders interested in participating are invited to submit their application by 28 July 2017 using the provided application form.
The second part of the event will take place in the evening from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This comprises of two keynote speeches, a panel presentation and a panel discussion on the topic “Europe and Switzerland – can we lead the world in impact and clean tech?” In addition, founders will showcase their companies, and a networking session will conclude the event. The event is designed for Female Founders and Founders from Switzerland, Europe and Africa, Start-up Support Organizations, Investors from Switzerland, Europe and the U.S., Corporate Venturing Representatives, Government Representatives, and Media.
