Ten tech startups to explore Silicon Valley

In April, ten startups making up the Swiss National team for the Venture Leaders Technology will travel to Silicon Valley for an investor and business development roadshow to explore the dynamics of the tech sector. The startups represent a wide array of technologies ranging from AI software, cloud, and security to inspection tools and robotic solutions, which also exemplifies Switzerland's innovation prowess.

The Venture Leaders roadshows provide promising startups with a platform to connect with industry experts, investors, and potential customers in key technology hubs across the globe. The 2024 roadshow to Silicon Valley attracted 200 applications from which a jury of technology experts selected the 10 most outstanding candidates to pursue their growth ambitions in the US while expanding their professional network. From April 7th to April 12th, 2024, the startups will attend pitch sessions with investors and workshops with industry leaders. The ten selected startups are:

Acodis │ Zurich - is an AI-powered Document Intelligence software for enterprises. The no-code platform empowers business experts to unlock unstructured content from PDFs, at speed and scale. Market leaders in Life Sciences use Acodis to get enterprise data ready for LLMs and to automate business processes.

Advertima Vision│ St. Gallen - aims to transform physical stores into a new, highly valuable Retail Media channel with computer vision and sensors. Retailers benefit from online-like capabilities which allow them to shift brand marketing and media budgets to in-store Retail Media channels.

Ascento │ Zurich - provides robotic guards and AI software to patrol large, outdoor, private properties. Ascento Guard increases security, safety, and business continuity of premises like manufacturing plants, data centers, energy production, pharma, warehousing etc.

DuoKey │ Vaud - is a cloud security leader that specializes in robust key management and advanced encryption for enterprise cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Google, and AWS. DuoKey offers a single cockpit for managing all encryption keys used in a multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architecture.

Flybotix │ Vaud - develops a safe drone solution with advanced software to visually inspect, digitize and analyse confined space data without human entry. The company empowers clients to perform streamlined, safe, and cost-effective inspections in confined spaces. 

Gilytics │Zurich - provides a SaaS cloud solution to speed-up energy and transportation routing through spatial optimization science based on geodata. This automated infrastructure design saves more than 60% of the planning time, making it more transparent and objective, and improving stakeholder engagement.

Isochronic │Vaud - develops software-driven pick & place robots, which enable simultaneous parts transports for the first time. Its multiple award-winning technology multiplies the throughput, increases flexibility, lowers factory floorspace and enables significant energy savings for global manufacturers.

Syntheticus │ Zurich - empowers private and public organizations to enable the full potential of AI with safe synthetic data, which is AI-generated and proxies the real-world data while preserving utility and privacy. In a nutshell: real-world data is collected, and synthetic data is created. 

Unisers │ Zurich - is a fast-growing startup developing a novel wafer inspection tool for the semiconductors industry. The technology helps the industry to lower the scrap rate of fabricated chips by identifying the source of chip-killer contaminations.

Zoundream │ Basel - is the most advanced AI company globally for the analysis of infant cry sounds. From real-time translation of infant needs to early detection of pathologies and development disorders – completely non-invasive, via infant's voice.
