Ten startups to demo at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

The new Swiss National Startup Team for Venture Leaders Mobile will attend the 4YFN at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from 02-06 March 2025. The roadshow connects Switzerland’s top startups with international investors and telecom leaders, offering a prime opportunity to expand their global presence.

After reviewing over 90 applications, the jury of investors and mobile technology experts selected ten startups to join the Venture Leaders Mobile 2025 roadshow in Barcelona. The startups span deep-tech sectors such as AI, gas detection, virtual and augmented reality, cybersecurity, underwater communication, and drone technology.

The cohort will attend the 4 Years from Now (4YFN) – part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world’s largest and most important mobile industry event – includes exhibiting at the fair and investors events, offering a unique opportunity for meetings with first-rate investors, industry leaders, and potential clients at key MWC events, such as the startup conference. The Venture Leaders Mobile will also attend exclusive networking and pitch events and participate in the sixth Venturelab sailing trophy.

Meet the ten startups:

Algorized │Vaud –develops sensing and perception AI with scalable, low-cost, and low-power software for sensor manufacturers. The robotics startup’s software analyses environments, detects people's presence at a distance, enables wearable-free localization and people detection, even through walls, and captures vital signs such as breathing and heart rate for personalized user experience anywhere.

Alivion │Zurich – is an ETH spin-off that focuses on the product design, development, production and sale of proprietary gas sensing technology in food, environmental and health applications. Its vision is to create electronics with a sense of smell.

AtlasVR │Uri – was founded by three PhD students of the Innovation Center Virtual Reality at ETH Zurich. Its vision is to revolutionize vocational training procedures by harnessing the immense socioeconomic potential of Virtual Reality (VR) technology.

CYSEC │ Vaud – provides world-leading, high-performance cybersecurity tools to ensure robustness, confidentiality, and integrity for space internet networks and critical infrastructures.

databaum │ Vaud – offers data-driven tools for sustainable farming, including AI-powered disease forecasts, sensor monitoring, and alerts for environmental risks like frost or overwatering. These solutions help reduce pesticide use, optimize resources, and improve crop yields.

Galeri │ Zurich – is a health and wellness company, that transforms aviation and travel with AI-driven VR/AR solutions. In collaboration with Niantics Lab, its immersive platform uses biofeedback to deliver personalized, metaverse-ready experiences for airports and lounges.

Hydromea │ Vaud – creates underwater robotics and communication systems to automate the inspection of submerged assets. Their technology improves operational efficiency and reduces costs in underwater operations, primarily in the ocean economy.

NovoViz │Neuchâtel – designs and manufactures in different technology nodes single-photon computational engines for applications that demand high sensitivity and high speed but cannot handle large amounts of data.

Optiverse │ Zurich – is a Swiss leader in AI-driven meeting assistance, offering a platform that automates note-taking, integrates meeting data into sales pipelines, and shares knowledge across teams.

PROVUU │ Basel-City –is a developing AR snow goggles that improve visibility in challenging conditions like fog or white-outs. These goggles use real-time image processing and allow users to switch between transparent and enhanced visibility modes.
