Venture Leaders Cleantech is a business development program organized by Venturelab, designed to support high-growth Swiss startups in the cleantech sector. The program’s jury selects the top 10 most innovative startups, providing them with opportunities to present their solutions, connect with industry experts and investors, and take the next step in their startups’ international growth. This year’s cohort will embark on the roadshow in Munich on November 4-8, 2024.
Meet the Venture Leaders Cleantech 2024
Aerospec | Lausanne – Areospec empowers businesses and governments to create a cleaner and healthier world through smart data and insights into particulate matter (PM) pollution.
Antefil Composite Tech | Zurich – offers a more cost-efficient and cleaner way to produce lightweight components for applications in mobility, transport, energy and sports goods. Its patented technology allows the production of glass fibres that are individually coated with a meltable, recyclable plastic.
BTRY | Dübendorf – aims to redefine the world of energy storage by developing an energy-dense solid-state battery that can be charged in one minute. The startup innovation takes shape in thin-film solid-state batteries, a proven, long-standing technology.
Composite Recycling | Ecublens – developed a highly energy-efficient process to separate the resin from the fibres, and with EPFL has made a post-treatment that cleans the fibres and makes them reusable in new composites, to sell them.
Dyneo Technologies | Petit-Lancy – addresses the significant challenge of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from heating and cooling systems in Europe, providing a data-driven solution designed to assist operators of thermal networks.
Emost | Dietikon – Emost offers customized, reliable, and cost-effective energy solutions, prioritizing quiet, clean power indoors and addressing weak network connectivity. It aims to reduce maintenance costs associated with diesel generators and expensive electrical setups for construction, events, and special applications.
HammerDrum | Zug – HammerDrum develops drilling machines for geothermal applications. Its focus is on downsizing the construction site and reducing costs by automating the drilling processes.
Riverkin | Zurich – sells smart water management solutions. Although it sells hardware, its golden start is a SaaS data solution that allows customers to monitor freshwater systems in even remote locations (e.g. downstream of glaciers).
SolidWatts | Pully –enables the electrification of industrial processes that currently use fossil fuels—notably gas—to generate heat to fulfil a production process.
VAULTED | Zurich – developed a solution over 10 years of research at ETH Zurich that dramatically reduces material usage in floors, with 70% less concrete and 80% less steel compared to conventional slabs. It is designed for manufacturing, assembly, and deconstruction (DfMA and DfD), offering a code-compliant, low-carbon, circular, and cost-effective solution.
