Switzerland represented by 16 startups in the Red Herring Top 100 Europe

The Red Herring conference is held annually in Amsterdam to deliver insights into the critical trends shaping the future of technology. At the 2017 conference, the Red Herring award jury announced the Top 100 technology startups from Europe. Among them are 16 startups from Switzerland.

The Red Herring Top 100 awards highlights the most exciting startups from Asia, Europe and America. Submitted startups from each region are evaluated based on Red Herring’s 20 criteria in a three-stage selection process. In the Top 100 2017 Europe edition, 16 Swiss startups have been nominated among the Top 100 Europe finalists. The startups were selected at the Red Herring conference in Amsterdam following their presentations in front of investors and the Red Herring team.

The 16 startups include:

Anivo 360 – an online insurance broker, which combines an online insurance comparison engine with individual advisory by its in-house insurance experts.

BestMile – provides a cloud-based platform for the intelligent operation and optimization of autonomous vehicle fleets.

Bluebotics – EPFL spin off offering ANT, an autonomous navigation technology for the logistics and service robotics market.

Cooala – turns websites into social hubs.

EyeFitU – a platform and a mobile app that helps users to shop in their real size.

Gamaya – developed a patented hyperspectral imaging technology, drone-based deployment and artificial intelligence for diagnostics of farmland.

Interprefy – a language service company providing a cloud based interpreting platform for simultaneous interpretation of conferences.

Jacando – a recruiting portal that enables companies find suitable employees using an innovative matchmaking logic.

KB Medical – developed the AQrate Robotic technology platform for assisting surgeons with spinal, orthopedic and neurosurgery.

Nomos System – provides a universal patented IoT automation software capable of controlling any device.

QualySense – developed the QSorter, a life science single kernel robot for high-speed accurate analysis and sorting of grains, seeds, and beans.

Rovenso – manufactures autonomous unmmaned ground vehicles and robots for transporting and carrying heavy stuff in rough terrain and dangerous places for humans.

SimplicityBio – developed a proprietary machine learning platform that enables the next generation of diagnostic tests and drugs, with best-in-class biomarkers.

SpotMe – offers mobile event apps for event managers to enable them track participant engagement and event analysis
