#SwissTech: Startups fuel the space economy

 

Switzerland is present at the New Space Economy Expo Forum in Rome, Europe's largest conference for space technologies. At the #Swisstech Space Pavilion, 13 startups will have the opportunity to present their high potential and market-ready innovations to customers, partners and investors.

 

 

The swissnex Network and the Swiss Space Office of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), in collaboration with Presence Switzerland and other institutional partners have organised the #SwissTech Space Pavilion at the New Space Economy Expo Forum in Rome scheduled from December 10 to 12 December. Thirteen selected Swiss startups will have a platform to demonstrate their products and services for the European market and showcase Switzerland's leading position as a hotspot for technology and innovation. During the three days, the startups will also participate in matchmaking activities and networking events with industry players, pitching event and a special reception with industry experts and investors. The following startups will be at the Swiss Pavilion Arc Power (Zurich) – developed radiation-resistant custom power management and distribution electronics for space. CYSEC SA (Ecublens, VD) – offers an all-in-one platform to help companies to securely launch innovative services faster and cost-effectively. Dotphoton (Zug) – provides image compression solutions that make RAW images smaller by up to 10 times without affecting the quality. Gilytics AG (Zurich) – developed fast computing and 3D visualization technology for complex planning of transportation and energy infrastructures. Space Acoustics GmbH (Rafz, Zurich) - is a consulting and contract engineering company specialising in technical acoustics, particularly for aerospace applications. Touchless Automation (Biel/Bienne) – produces innovative, industrial equipment that can manipulate parts of any material, without touching them. WeGaw (Morges, VD) – with DeFROST, the startup offers satellite data for daily snow monitoring for the outdoors tourism industry. 9T Labs (Zurich) – developed a 3D-printer that enables users to print industry-grade carbon composites. ALTYN (Geneva) - a consulting firm developing space-related projects AgriCircle AG (Rapperswil-Jona) - is an online cloud system that connects farmers and their farm data with their professional network. Astrocast SA (Ecublens, VD) – is developing the most-advanced network of nanosatellites to allow cost-effective bidirectional IoT communication everywhere on Earth. Involi SA (Renens, VD) - provides the infrastructure for secure integration of unmanned aerial vehicles into existing air traffic. Picterra (Renens, VD) – built an AI-based platform to enable users to extract satellite and drone imaging insights in real-time.(Press release/ran)
