Six Swiss startups enroute to Texas

An industry agnostic Startup Camp will take place for the first time in Texas from November 4 to November 15, 2024. The two weeks will enable six Swiss startups to fully immerse themselves in the Texas ecosystem, build their network and learn how to do business in the US.

The two-week camp in Austin and Houston is an opportunity for Swiss startups seeking to enrich their know-how in the US market to explore the two innovation hubs. This industry agnostic Startup Camp, organized by Swissnex and powered by Innosuisse, offers a mix of expert sessions on various topics, events and mentorship meetings, providing the startups with knowledge and insights, in particular relating to differences between the Texas and Swiss startup ecosystems.

The participating startups in the premier program are:

Authena advances supply chains with real-time technology, improving transparency, efficiency, and sustainability. Their eco-friendly IoT devices and AI analytics, developed with leading Swiss universities, offer single-unit visibility for tracking and actionable insights.

Program design: how to do business in the US
The first week of the Startup Camp will take place in Austin, from November 4 to November 8, and will provide the participating startups with insights and knowledge about the US market through sessions like Incorporation Strategy, Sales and GTM, and HR.
This first week will include a pitch night – Swiss Startups Night: Pitches & Brisket, on November 6, right after the US elections, in which the startups will take advantage of the crowd in the city and pitch their projects.

The second week of the Camp will take place in Houston, from November 11 to November 15, and will begin with a Leadership Session, offering the startups more insights and learnings on the US leadership culture. The startups will have the opportunity to understand the current market trends through various sessions and benefit from IP Individual Sessions. In addition, they will have the opportunity to visit the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world — which positions Houston as a global leader in medical research and healthcare innovation.
