The Indie Arena Booth started as a very small hand-made exhibition space for indie developers at gamescom in 2013 and evolved into an open home for independent game developers from all over the world. The selected indie game studios have the opportunity to present their games to a huge number of visitors: in 2017 roughly 350.000 people visited gamescom and the upcoming edition will again break this record.
Six Swiss games were selected for the Indie Arena Booth this year:
Airheart – (Blindflug Studios AG): Airheart is an action game about a young woman, who flies her airplane and catches skyfish among beautiful sky islands.
Deru – (Ink Kit): "DERU - The Art of Cooperation" brings two players into a cooperative gaming experience in which they solve abstract and complex tasks.
Devader – (Falkenbrew): Devader is an intense 90's-style twin-stick shooter, complete with crazy old-school bosses, powerful tower defence abilities and multiple endings.
FAR: Lone Sails – (Okomotive): FAR: Lone Sails is a vehicle adventure game. In a unique vehicle you travel across a dried-out ocean following the tracks of a once thriving civilization.
MODSORK – (Cinnoman Games): Arcade game where you control 2 avatars simultaneously.
Retimed – (Team Maniax): Retimed is a local multiplayer arena shooter for 2-4 players with slowmotion action as its main game-mechanic.
