Prix Strategis reveals the semi-finalists

 

Eighty-seven candidates applied for the 27th edition of Prix Strategis competition, however, only eight will proceed to the next round. The winner will be announced and awarded in May 2020.

 

 

The annual award Prix Strategis organised by HEC Espace Entreprise awards more than CHF 50’000 to the most outstanding startup that demonstrates high innovation quality, growth potential and operations management. For the 2020 edition, the selection jury has nominated eight out of eighty-seven candidates that met the criteria to proceed to the semi-finals. The eight semi-finalist start-ups of the Prix Strategis 2020 are: PXL Vision (Zurich) – developed Daego, a technology platform for secure identity verification as well as for the creation and management of trustable digital identities. Fixposition (Zurich) – the ETH spin-off developed navigation sensors for reliable, high accuracy positioning services for autonomous vehicles. Nanogence (Renens, VD) – develops eco-friendly concrete additives and technologies for the construction sector to reduce cost and energy, optimize performance among others. 9T Labs (Zurich) – its 3D-printer enables users to print industry-grade carbon composites. The carbon-fibre printing technology advances lightweight design by simplifying the use of high-performance materials. Kido Dynamics (Lausanne) – specialising in crowd movement analysis, Kido Dynamics breaks down complex data sets using its proprietary algorithms to generate analytics which are easy to read and intuitive to understand. SUN Bioscience (Ecublens, VD) – developed Gri3D, a microwell array technology for reproducible image-based phenotypic screenings. Microcaps (Zurich) – developed a special device and technology for the production of micro-particles and microcapsules used to protect active materials, such as drugs in medicine and fragrances in creams. Pristem (Lausanne) – the Medtech startup offers affordable and robust new radiology solutions to emerging markets. In the coming weeks, the startups will undergo several steps and further evaluation until the finalists have been determined. The winner will be unveiled at the closing ceremony in May 2020 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
