Management change in Swiss startups

Four startups have announced the appointment of new executive members. The new Chief Executive Officers at Kasgo2go and Avrios will drive the company’s growth while the appointed Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technical Officer support the cleantech startups, Battrion and Eturnity.

Tal Yampolsky is the new Chief Executive Officer of the Zug based insurtech startup, Kasko2go. The startup developed a mobile car insurance application based on AI and blockchain technology to offer drivers a simple, safe and affordable insurance solution with unprecedented transparency. Yampolsky has been a member of the Board of Directors of various companies in Tel Aviv and Zurich for over 15 years. He has successfully demonstrated his expertise in management and technology as Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Head of International IT Audit, among others.

Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at Bank Hapoalim Switzerland, one of the leading banks in Israel, where his responsibilities included business transformation, information technology, cybersecurity, human resources and customer support. In addition, Yampolsky brings to kasko2go valuable expertise in areas such as Strategy Development & Implementation, Business Development, Digital Transformation, Risk and Compliance Operations, Process Optimisation, M&A and Management in Global Financial Markets.

Francine Gervazio, Chief Executive Officer at Avrios
After a four-year career journey at Avrios, Francine has taken over the CEO seat at Avrios, provider of a comprehensive fleet management platform that allows customers to integrate data, automate processes to generate complete, just-in-time insights to improve their fleet. In the past years, Francine held various positions at Avrios, most recently the Chief Revenue Officer. Before Avrios, she co-founded a B2B logistics startup (Cargo42) with more than 700 customers and was responsible for South Latin America at EasyTaxi, providing the highest customer satisfaction scores globally. She also sits on the board of the WeShapeTech organisation. In her new position, Francine will lead the company through the next stage of product-led evolution, alongside Martin Buberl (CTO/CPO).

Thomas Gebauer, Chief Financial Officer at Battrion
ETH Spinoff Battrion developed a battery technology that increases the charge-and discharge performance of lithium-ion batteries and is particularly suited for EV and high-performance applications. The startup has grown its management team to include Thomas Gebauer as Chief Financial Officer. With the onboarding of Gebauer, Battrion adds a highly experienced finance executive to the Management Team. Thomas Gebauer has gained international expertise in developing and implementing financial and business strategies for fast-growing tech companies. He has raised over CHF 120 million in capital as part of his tenures. In his last position as Co-founder and Co-CEO of Volterion GmbH, an energy storage company, he grew and developed the company, leading the company’s financing and internationalisation efforts, resulting in the company’s acquisition by the automotive supplier Boysen-Group. Gebauer will lead Battrion’s fundraising, financial management, and investor relations to report to the CEO as part of his new role.

Philipp Eisenring Head of Product Development / CTO at Eturnity
Eturnity has developed a Live-Energy-Analysis (LEA) platform, allowing solar installers, consulting companies and energy utilities to sell decentralised energy systems. To strengthen its technical team and further enhance the platform, Eturnity has welcomed Phillip Eisenring as Chief Technology Officer. Eisenring established and developed Ampard AG, whose energy management /IoT software is today used throughout Europe under the Peeeks brand. He brings to Eturnity a wealth of experience gained through various senior positions in the energy industry, including at ABB and Eneco (Netherlands). His commitment and engagement in Eturnity will help grow the company.
