Leadership teams are reshuffled

Four Swiss startups are undergoing major C-level personnel changes: Dominique Mégret became the new CEO of Ecorobotix, leaving Swisscom Ventures to new Managing Partners. CertX also appointed their new CEO, while Menhir Photonics welcomed their new Chief Operating Officer, and MYNERVA introduced their newly appointed Chief Technical Officer.

Dominique Mégret, a technology entrepreneur and venture capital investor, has been appointed the new CEO of Agtech startup Ecorobotix. The Lausanne-based startup developed the ARA smart sprayer technology for crop treatment to reduce the use of crop protection products (by up to 95%) and CO2 emissions while boosting crop yields. Mégret, the founder and former head of Swisscom Ventures as well as co-founder and Ex CEO of Kick-Start Ventures, brings a wealth of startup and scale-up experience to guide the company through its upcoming phase of expansion. With Ecorobotix being one of 90 startups that secured investments from Swisscom Ventures, Mégret is familiar with the startup and even has a personal connection to the topic. “As someone from a farming family who grew up with the use of phytosanitary products, the discussion about reducing chemicals and their impacts on the environment and our health is close to my heart. I am firmly committed to helping find effective technical solutions to address this issue on a large scale”, he comments. His former leadership role at Swisscom Ventures will be handed over to Stefan Kuentz, Alexander Schläpfer and Pär Lange, as joint Managing Partners. A new CEO for CertX CertX is a Fribourg-based startup providing Functional Safety, Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence certification, inspection, and training, dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across several industries including  automotive, aerospace, rail, machinery and healthcare. The company has appointed Vincent Sabot as its new CEO, succeeding  Dr. Jens Henkner. With a proven track record of leadership and strategic vision, e.g. in his formal role as COO of the Siemens Convergence Creators Holding GmbH or as CEO of New Frontier Group in Vienna, Vincent Sabot brings a wealth of experience to drive CertX's global growth and innovation strategy. “I have long been impressed by the mission and services and the talented team working to serve clients around the world. We will continue to enhance our geographic go-to-market execution, further strengthen our financial performance and create an environment to grow and develop talent”, says CertX’s new CEO.

Menhir Photonics introduces its new COO
Nicola Bellu, an experienced Operations Manager with previous leadership positions worldwide incl. Global Operations Site Leader at DANI Analitica or Senior Product Manager at Delta Mobrey Ltd, joins ultrafast laser manufacturer Menhir Photonics as new Chief Operating Officer. Menhir Photonics’ flagship product, MENHIR-1550 SERIES, is the first industrial-grade femtosecond laser and a stable mode-locked oscillator that produces clean sub-200 fs pulses centred at 1550 nm. It features very low phase noise and can be configured to operate at several repetition rates that reach the industrial quality required by customers. In this new role, Nicola Bellu will lead the startup’s transformational process, drive the organizational culture, vision, and structure. With this new leadership, the startup aims to optimize its industrial-grade lasers and to ensure high customer satisfaction.

MYNERVA newly filled their position of CTO
