Las Vegas, here comes Swiss-tech

In January, Swisstech startups will present their innovations at the Swiss Pavilion as part of CES Las Vegas, one of the largest trade fairs for consumer technologies. The fair gathers more than 180’000 attendees from 150 countries.

Over 3,900 exhibiting companies including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems set up their stands at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Presence Switzerland – the official Swiss organization that is part of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, which aims is to promote Swiss interests – and Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE) have organized the SWISS Pavilion in the Eureka Park at CES to present and introduce some of the latest Swiss technologies to the American market. Over 1,100 startups that used CES as a platform to showcase their products have been funded.

In January a new delegation of Swiss startups will attend and exhibit at the fair to represent Switzerland.

The nominated start-ups will present their innovations in three categories: “The Startups” comprises of 21 companies that will present all kinds of new developments, 18 companies in the category “Swiss Volière” are specialized in the drone industry while six organisations make up the category “Friends of the SWISS Pavilion.” All exhibitors will benefit from the Swiss umbrella brand to gain more attention.

Presence Switzerland is responsible for the overall presence in Las Vegas while Switzerland Global Enterprise coordinates and organizes the participation of the Swiss companies. The organizers will, therefore, take care of the communication, stand construction and administration such that the companies can concentrate on other activities at the fair such as dealing with customers, presenting their products and networking.

The startups will pay only CHF1800, benefitting from support from some of the SWISS Pavillon’s partners. These include Innosuisse, digitalswitzerland, Swiss and the Consulate General of Switzerland, Swiss Business Hub USA, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), swissnex, Innovaud and AlpICT.”.
