Klazz – a product of the Language Travel Reinvented AG – is a language travel platform, which uses technology, combined with distributed economic principles, to provide efficient- and cost-effective offers to language travelers. Through the platform, clients/students can book a desired language and destination directly, after which they receive a learning and travel package to support them during the trip. Classes are held in different co-working spaces to enable students to interact with locals in those spaces.
The courses are currently held in London, with students coming from France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and since November from Spain. In 2019, at least two new destinations and further sourcing markets will be added.
One of the unique propositions of Klazz is the cost-friendly offering and overall business concept, as opposed to agencies. The Startup eliminates intermediaries by operating the entire business and platform by itself, which gives the founders and team the liberty to select and work with handpicked and trusted experts as well as places that are optimum for students. This approach and having no physical offices or rental school buildings and paper forms enables the startup to minimize costs and thus charge lower prices. To-Date, Klazz employees 13 people in Berlin, London and Zurich.
One year since its launch in the market, the startup has begun expanding its track record. Recently the team was awarded $20’000 for winning the category award Lifelong Learning of the Krypto Labs Edtech Startup Challenge in Abu Dhabi.
Oliver Flueckiger, CEO of Klazz was enchanted about winning the award. He comments: "We are very happy about this award. It confirms that we are on the right track with Klazz to revolutionize the language travel industry and shows that we are addressing a global market".
