The Impulse Summit, organized by the Impulse Network at the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland, is an annual interactive conference that unites approximately 300 industry leaders and 60 selected students, known as Global Talents, to explore innovative ideas in the sports business sector. At this year’s event, Medtech startup Mindmetic was awarded CHF 5000 after winning the pitch competition. The startup developed Myflow, a data-driven, pupil-based neurofeedback training software designed to quantify the performance of the mind and mental well-being. Coupled with the Myflow Virtual Reality (VR) app, the system gives real-time feedback on the effectiveness of your mental training, thereby helping sports professionals to train and improve their mental well-being and performance.

Nanoflex wins category at Falling Walls
The Falling Walls Science Breakthrough of the Year 2024 in Science Start-Ups, an annual global award that recognizes groundbreaking scientific achievements across various disciplines, has awarded Nanoflex Robotics in the category ‘Engineering of the Future’. Over 1,000 submissions from 52 countries applied for the award. Nanoflex is specializing in the development of next-generation telerobotic solutions for critical endovascular interventions, particularly targeting stroke treatment. YmmuneBio selected for Prix Galien USA
Biotech startup YmmunoBio has been selected to compete in the Prix Galien USA Awards in the "Best Startup" category. Often called the "Nobel Prize of pharmaceutical and medical innovation," Prix Galien, recognises groundbreaking work in biotechnology, diagnostics, digital health, and more. YmmunoBio focuses on developing innovative cancer treatments, particularly for gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, through new classes of antibodies.
European Security Award 2024 goes to Mitipi
Mitipi has won the European Security Award 2024 for the most innovative burglary protection solution with its Swiss security box KEVIN®. The security box simulates human presence through everyday sounds, moving shadows and more than 30 different lighting effects. Thanks to an efficient app and artificial intelligence, it can be individually adapted to each user to provide optimum burglary protection. For the past three years, Mitipi has been developing and marketing its Kevin security system from the Bluefactory in Fribourg. The company was relocated from Zurich to Fribourg by Patrick Cotting to leverage the proximity to the Smart Living Lab for technology advancement and to conquer international markets. To achieve this, Cotting established a subsidiary in Berlin for the EU market and another in Santa Clara, California, for the US market. He also secured technology rights and patents for both regions and protected the Kevin brand internationally.
Climada inaugural Adaptation Tech Award for Best Performance
