Green startup battle reveals seven finalists

After seven weeks of the Swiss Digital days 2022 and seven regional sessions of the GreenTech Startup Battle, the seven finalists proceeding to the finale have been announced. They will compete in the national session on the 27th of October in Zug as part of the closing event of the Swiss Digital Days 2022.

The 2022 Swiss Digital Days organised over 200 sub-events with more than 300 speakers at 19 hubs in seven regions in Switzerland to connect and strengthen regional startup ecosystems. This format allows startups to get contacts with established companies and public institutions.

Over the past seven weeks, various startups with sustainable project ideas aiming to preserve and protect natural resources participated in the Green Startup Battle, the event’s program dedicated to startups. From the 20 selected startups, seven the jury has now selected seven for the final round. The winning startup will receive CHF 10’000 cash prize, 25,000 AWS credits and one year of venture services and co-working space.

The finalists are:

Bern region: mobileup – matches demand and supply for refurbished electronic devices and by so doing, enables a circular economy.

Northwestern Switzerland: myFeld – developed the first Swiss online garden

Zurich region: viboo provides a learning Predictive Control as a Service (PCaaS) platform for manufacturers of building energy systems.

Romandie: Resilio – assesses companies’ digital footprint and IT costs.

Ticino: Hive Power – automated Smart Charging for Electric Vehicles.

Eastern Switzerland: dhp technology – built the world’s first unique solar folding roof, HORIZON

Central Switzerland: databaum – built a disease management tool to enable smarter farming through better predictions.
