Out of 278 applications, CondenZero emerges the winner of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition (IEIC) held at the Switzerland Division of the 8th China (Shenzhen) in Zurich. The startup secured CHF 100’000 and will represent Switzerland in Shenzhen, China. CondenZero AG specialises in creating advanced cryogenic sample holders for cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM), leveraging liquid helium for ultra-low temperatures. The company’s patented design achieves a base temperature of 5 Kelvin in under a minute, ensuring efficiency and thermal stability for over 24 hours. These sample holders are integral for researchers studying electronic properties and phase transitions in materials at extreme cold.
Loxo collects prize in Amsterdam
Deeptech startup LOXO has been honored with the "Start-up Innovation award" being the “Game-Changing Startup of the Year” at the Parcel+Post Expo in Amsterdam, as well as the “Start-up Innovation Award 2024 in the category of Middle & Last-mile logistics”. Tinamu wins Commodities Technology Innovation Award
Tinamu is a specialist in drone software, enabling drones to fly indoors autonomously without a pilot to provide digital inventory data for bulk material, logistic and production excellence of bulk material supply chains. The company has won the first Commodities Technology Innovation Award from Bilan Magazine & Ampersand World SA. Today most stockpile inventories are done manually on paper, generating inaccuracy, errors, and safety risks. TINAMU allows cost, resource and carbon emission savings through better production and logistics planning based on up-to-date inventory data; digital, safe and automated. TINAMU helps to build smart factories, providing supply chain, production and operations managers with a single source of truth.
Voltiris and partners awarded
The Greenhouse of the Future pitch Competition 2024 went to Voltiris, in collaboration with Skytree, Thermeleon, and FOTONIQ, recognizing their sustainable, modular greenhouse designed to foster open innovation. Voltiris enables double use of large greenhouses surfaces to produce electricity without impacting their high agricultural yield. With the goal to make future-proof greenhouses, Voltiris’ solar modules will provide an abundance of renewable energy and reduce peak plant temperatures. Voltiris powers Skytree’s Direct Air Capture technology to pull CO₂ directly from the air. FOTONIQ’s PAR+ coating will diffuse sunlight for optimal growing conditions, while Thermeleon’s passive thermal battery regulates temperature through sustainable heating and cooling. This integrated solution allows for more sustainable cultivation and maximum CO₂ capture.
Sirin Orbital Systems received Leading Innovation in Space Award
