In April Rekord AG announced two deals: The first, a multi-year deal, valued at over CHF 3.1 million, includes a major exclusive software license and long-term subscription to Rekord's secure data infrastructure — making Rekord the backbone of Pondus' data management and logging systems going forward.
Pondus is tackling a global poultry market valued at over $400 billion USD, with more than 130 million tonnes of chicken meat produced annually and billions of birds raised each year. As demand grows and scrutiny around animal welfare and sustainability intensifies, precision technologies like Pondus' are becoming essential to help producers meet rising expectations and regulatory requirements.
Through this partnership, Pondus will embed Rekord's API and blockchain-based verification platform into its AI-driven weighing and monitoring solutions. Every weight measurement, behavioural insight, and welfare indicator captured by Pondus' systems will now be cryptographically secured, creating tamper-proof, independently verifiable records that elevate the trust and transparency of on-farm data.
The partnership also expands Rekord's own offering by introducing powerful computer vision and AI capabilities alongside its existing traceability infrastructure. This opens new opportunities across agriculture, animal welfare, and beyond — showcasing how decentralised data and smart tech can work hand in hand.
Collaboration with A.DNA
A.DNA, founded in 2018 and based in the Canton of Zug, offers a comprehensive platform that enables companies to manage their most important data and events—their corporate "DNA"—on the blockchain. This includes features such as immutable data storage, timestamping, encryption, and asset tokenisation, ensuring data integrity and facilitating compliance with governance standards.
Solutions include purpose-built digital data rooms designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout critical corporate events. These secure environments facilitate efficient fundraising, M&A transactions, and ongoing investor relations by providing a transparent, organised, and immutable space to manage and share key business documents and data with stakeholders.
James Marchant, CEO and Co-Founder of Rekord AG, explained: "A.DNA's platform is a leader in corporate data management, and we are excited to bring our verification capabilities to their ecosystem. Together, we will provide companies with a seamless solution to ensure their data is not only well-organised but also verifiable and secure."
Rekord AG was founded in 2024. In March, the start-up announced a successful $4.5M seed round on LinkedIn. In addition to CEO James Marchant, Alain Münger from the Fairway Family Office in Zurich holds a seat on the board of directors of Rekord AG.
