In the effort to support entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas basing on a Silicon Valley standards, Society3 launched a "Silicon Valley style" acceleration program in the summer of 2016. Out of the 68 submitted entries only six startups, which passed the pitching training were nominated to join the program. During the six months, the startups, together with their coaches, focused on solidifying their vision, creating a disruptive business model, compiling a zero budget go-to-market strategy, generating market traction and revenue as well as developing a long-term capitalization strategy for their startups.
After six months of intensive coaching, four startups successfully graduated. They have gained market traction and have reached significant milestones;
Based in the canton of Zug, Yamo is providing fresh and organic baby food manufactured using a unique technology “high pressure pasteurization”. This process allows the food to retain its vitamin, color, and tastes as though it were made at home. Moreover it does not contain any additives and can be stored for several weeks. Yamo has succeeded in raising the required funds from its crowdfunding campaign. More than 52’000 Swiss francs were colloed from donors on crowdfunding platform We Make it. Thanks to this financing, the startup has began.

The startup is offering an online platform where new-comer artists can sell their artwork. Since gradation, the platform has become popular among the target group. Three weeks after the launch, nine pieces were already sold. Today, 20 art pieces have been sold and the platform now had 70 registered artists.
"Thanks to the accelerator program artiazza has now a bold and clear vision as well as a thoroughly thought through strategy. The program clearly went beyond our expectations, because we did not only get enriching advice and support, we could also build up a great network with other startup founders and interesting people" says Alexandra Scherrer, co-founder of Artiazza.
Based in Bern, Connexa is offing a private social network for organizations, focused on connecting people who are sharing interests, values, backgrounds and where all of them are part of a community. Today the startup has 26 employees in 11 location worldwide. In addition, the startup serves over 80 B2B clients, and has already closed its seed round with CHF 200’000 with private investors.
The Zurich based start-up has built virtual ATMs allowing anybody to withdraw cash from any retail store. The disruptive business model will replace the conventional ATM, enabling banks to reduce cost of operations at the same time bridge the gap between technology and physical world. Sonect has closed a financing round, graduated from the F10 acceleration program and was recently selected to join Plug and Play Fintech accelerator, which was jointly established by BNP Paribas and Plug and Play, one of the largest accelerators worldwide.
The Society3 Acceleration program is now looking for startups to join the next round starting in October. The focus topics of 2017 are: SecureTech, AutoTech, AI, Fin-Tech, Transport-Tech, LogisticsTech, FoodTech, IOT, ICT, Energy, and other society relevant innovations.
