Digital supply chain startup joins Insurtech accelerator in the US

 

See Your Box (SYB), offering an all-inclusive solution for monitoring goods transported globally, is among the ten startups selected to join the Hartford Insurtech Hub, in the United States. The program offers a cash grant of $25k and 4 months of free office space. SYB seeks to seize the opportunity to launch new insurance products in the US market.

 

See Your Box (SYB) is a tech-service platform that collects, analyses and extracts information related to goods across all steps of the supply chain. With a platform built over 60 different services ranging from temperature control to real-time pattern recognition, SYB offers the ultimate one-stop solution to all customers in need to acquire detailed information of goods traveling, stored or used around the world.

SYB’s solution target a broad range of international customers operating in the markets of food, fine arts and industrial machinery. The company has offices in Italy, in the UK and Switzerland.A 3-month intensive program in the USDuring the next three months, starting this February, SYB will relocate to the Hardfold Insurtech Hub where it joins other nine startups that qualified for the program. The ten teams, selected from over 230 applications, will receive the support, resources, and industry and investor connections they need to help grow their businesses. Some of the benefits include a 3-month intensive program based in Hartford and an additional two months to work on projects with insurers. Additionally, the startups will receive Startups will receive a cash grant of $25k and 4-months of free office space for their team.

With support from Startupbootcamp, the teams get with access to an extensive range of partners, mentors, and investors from across the accelerator’s global network. They will gain exposure to over 100 investors, mentors and influencers during the acceleration program, and on Demo Day, from across the US and our international networks.

SYB is represented by, Marco Toja, CEO and Founder, Federico Capello, COO and Co-Founder, and Mark Loria, CTO & Co-Founder. They will kick-off new digitization projects, to launch new insurance products on the American market.

Following the completion of the seed round with $650 K in 2014, the startup relocated its operations in Switzerland in 2015. During the same year, SYB finalized the development of its technology and launched first industrial production. One of the highlights of 2016 was the receipt of a CTI Label (now Innosuisse) and the launch of a new version of the system. A second funding round in 2017/2018 allowed the startup to expand its team.

After three years of operations, SYB now serves more than 16 international corporates engaged in adding full end-to-end visibility to their supply chain. This year, the startup also kicked off its first project for industrial research, funded by the Swiss government, in partnership with the Research & Innovation pole of Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne.
