Building trust in Tech: 15 startups join Tech4Trust accelerator program

 

Tech4Trust is a 4-month startup acceleration program for companies developing innovative solutions to improve trust technology. Fifteen startups including one from Australia will participate in the program to further develop their solutions and meet potential customers and partners. 

 

Tech4Trust is an initiative of the Canton of Vaud that aims to bring together different actors offering solutions to foster trust with the organisations facing problems in a collaborative manner. The key focus areas of the program include cybersecurity, authentication, access control, data privacy, anti-counterfeiting, traceability, GDPR, disinformation. Through a 4-month acceleration program, Tech4Trust will provide startups with expert mentoring, specific workshops related to the industry, and networking activities to meet potential customers and partners. The startups will also participate in a roadshow to Zurich, Geneva, Sion and Yverdon with four workshops led by industry experts on technology, sales and management, legal aspects and fundraising. For the upcoming program from October 2019 to January 2020, the selection jury has nominated 15 startups from 5 cantons to participate. One startup stems from Australia. The startups include; Access Informer (ZG) – is a simple yet powerful solution for companies to collect, analyze and monitor user authorizations across key systems, including SAP, Active Directory, SharePoint and network shares. CybrQ (ZH) – is a SaaS platform with self-service solutions ranging from Apps/Devices, Browsing, e-Mail, Authentication to Cyber Awareness. Decentriq (ZG) – is enabling businesses to identify analytics potential in datasets without having access to the data. The company provides a privacy-preserving way of calculating the overlap between the desired characteristics of a dataset and the actual data. Ex0-SyS (VD) – develops Alph@TaV Vault, which protects your data by allowing you to encrypt all types of files and folders, offering you absolute protection against unauthorized access. It is intended for everyone and is, by nature, independent of any external control. KaiosID (VD)–is a cloud-based traceability solution allowing consumer goods brands to fight counterfeiting and grey market. Laava (Australia) – developed Smart Fingerprint™, a better unique identifier combining authentication, consumer engagement, and supply chain functionality at a much lower cost than other solutions. MedCo – is the first operational system that makes sensitive medical data available for research in a simple, privacy-aware and secure way. It enables hundreds of clinical sites to collectively protect their data and to securely share them. Megaverse (NE) – is developing adaptive learning in cyber awareness. NextDay.Vision (JU) – enables users to replace passwords by authenticating themselves in a simple, efficient and secure way on a multitude of services using a security key, their face or phone. OneVisage (VD) – proposes 3 software development kits that bring one or multiple concurrent factors, including 3D facial biometry (who I am), 3D graphical authentication (what I know) and Premier ID that mixes multiple factors. PRYV (VD) –is a compliance software for personal health data privacy and consent. Quantum Integrity (VD) – offers a SaaS service to streamline workflow, OCT, Facial verification and Forgery detection. ScanTrust (VD) – provides a cloud-based, Internet-of-Packaging platform for product authentication and supply chain visibility. Teserakt (VD) – develops software to enable strong encryption between industrial IoT systems. Veintree (VD) – extends portable QR and barcode readers with a "biometrical IR video reader" add-on, allowing anonymous and GDPR compliant registration of human venous networks (and human-centred actions). The program will culminate with the Demo day and Award ceremony where three outstanding startups will each be awarded a cash prize of CHF3000. (RAN)
