Blockchain Summit - Crypto Valley: Corporates vs. Startups

The growth of Blockchain has provoked antagonism between corporates and startups. At the 2nd Blockchain Summit on 26th April the two parties take the stage to defend their positions in an “Old versus New” format and discuss new approaches of building solutions with distributed ledger technology. Six startups will present in the panel.

While Blockchain technology continues to gain popularity and expand around the world, it threatens proven business models and forces traditional companies to rethink their strategy. The second Blockchain Summit - Crypto Valley seeks to provide insights on the technology and answer questions to whether startups will dictate the digital transformation, disrupt traditional business models through decentralised solutions or whether the “old world” incumbents will defend and even strengthen their position through cooperation and adaptation.

In industry-specific «Corporates vs. Startups» panels, innovative young companies – including Swiss startups such as Smart Valor, Procivis, Envion and Etherisc– and traditional corporations will argue and defend their respective positions in a “Old versus New” format.

“The Blockchain Summit will again be the most important gathering of the blockchain community in the Crypto Valley. We are proud to present not only some of the most innovative crypto startups, but also corporates highly interested to work with the new technology”, says Mathias Ruch, Co-Founder of the Summit and Founder/Managing Partner at Lakeside Partners.

Next to the panels and fireside chats held on two main stages, the Start-Up Hall allows 20 existing and upcoming Blockchain startups to present their teams and projects at the startup expo which will be open at the beginning of the event.

The summit will gather over 700 attendees from all over the world at the Casino Theater of Zug. The line-up includes top representatives of the blockchain community such as cofounder of B3i Paul Meeusen, best-selling author William Mougayar, Vice-President of the Crypto Valley Association Vasiliy Suvorov, Advisor for British Blockchain Association Julien Bouteloup and Mance Harmon, CEO and Co-Founder of Hedera Hashgraph.

Tickets for the event are available at the event website.
