Batmaid ready for expansion with CHF 25 million

AEVIS VICTORIA has made a CHF 25 million investment in Batgroup SA, the parent company of Batmaid - the leading Swiss online provider of cleaning services. The funds will support the company’s expansion in Switzerland and internationally.

Batmaid is part of Batgroup, a 360° solution provider for all cleaning service needs: home cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning and commercial cleaning. With its headquarters in Lausanne and offices in Zurich and Lugano, the company built an online platform that allows individuals to book a cleaning service. Currently, around 100 employees work at the company’s corporate office, and 2,000 salaried cleaning agents serving over 55,000 customers throughout Switzerland use the platform.

The capital infusion of  CHF 25 million from AEVIS VICTORIA, a Swiss investment firm AEVIS listed on the Swiss Reporting segment of SIX Swiss Exchange, will keep Batmaid on a fast track with its development activities. These include the acceleration of its projects in Switzerland, such as the Batmaid Club service, providing a range of biodegradable cleaning products or Batmaid Dry services, launched in Lausanne this year in June.

Batmaid also plans to accelerate its international expansion by opening new markets. Last year in May, it entered Paris, and since August 2021, its activities have been available in Milan and Warsaw. The ambition is to conquer 21 cities in 15 countries and in the end to become a leading player on a European and global scale.

Aevis joins previous investors, Bâloise, the Investis Group and ACE & Company. “The arrival of Michel Reybier and Antoine Hubert, as seasoned and visionary investors, will allow us to benefit from their expertise in the field of personal services,” says Andreas Schollin-Borg, founder and CEO of Batmaid. “Together, we share strong beliefs about the potential to develop our platform on a large scale while providing our customers with a hotel-level service as well as an answer to the fight against the black market,” he adds.

Antoine Hubert, delegated administrator of AEVIS, states: “This investment is part of our commitment to support the company’s expansion because we believe in its vision and business model.” AEVIS VICTORIA SA invests in human services, healthcare, hospitality, life sciences and lifestyle. AEVIS' main holdings include Swiss Medical Network SA (90%), a private Swiss hospital network present in the country's three main linguistic regions; Victoria-Jungfrau AG, a chain of top-class hotels and Medgate, the undisputed leader in the field of telemedicine in Switzerland.
