African Football Confederation selects FieldWiz

Advanced Sport Instrument announces that its performance tracking solution FieldWiz has been selected by the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) to boost its qualified national teams for the Fifa World Cup 2018 and beyond.

Founded in 2011 and based in Lausanne, Advanced Sport Instrument (ASI) is specialized in the development of electronic performance and tracking solutions in sport. ASI already launched three in-house product lines, has integrated third-party solutions and also realized on-demand developments.

One of ASI’s products is FieldWiz, an autonomous affordable electronic performance and tracking systems for team-sports. The product is developed and commercialized entirely by ASI. FieldWiz provides physical statistics including sprints, distance, speed and accelerations. The tracker is based on GPS technology, which enables accurate data as well as functionalities such as heatmaps and replay functions too.  As an analysis and decision making tool FieldWiz allows to gather facts and statistics, and compare players between games and positions over time, etc. and in the end, make the best decision. It can be used as a demonstration tool to better communicate a strategy or as a motivation tool for trainers and players.

Unlike other products in this application field, FieldWiz aims to make the technology affordable with a simple and standalone system. The product is already used by several pro and semi-pro football teams such as FC Zürich, Stade Rennais FC (French Ligue 1), Júbilo Iwata (Japan 1st division) or FC Vollège (Swiss 8th division).

The new year brings several important new international customers for ASI. FieldWiz has been selected by the Confederation Africaine de Football. ASI will equip the national teams of Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia. According the company this is only the beginning. “A great news confirming ASI’s know-how and ambitions”, comments the team on LinkedIn.
