Swiss start-up scene tops patent rankings

The European Patent Office (EPO) has carried out a study to identify the universities from which start-ups use research results. Three Swiss universities made it to the Top 12. It is therefore not surprising that Swiss start-ups also stand out in Europe when it comes to the number of patents.

ETH spin-off Sentinus has won CHF 150,000 in the Venture Kick finale. Targeting the manual assembly sector, the startup will use the funds to enhance its deep learning-based smart camera systems for automated quality control.

Six Swiss startups enroute to Texas

enmacc invests in Fidectus to roll out post-trade solutions for all energy traders

Fidectus, a Zurich-based company founded in 2019, dedicated to enabling energy traders of all sizes to digitise and automate OTC cross-company post-trade processing, attracted enmacc as strategic investor. The company based in Munich is Europe’s largest market venue for OTC trading of energy and environmental commodities.
