What can cities do to stop climate change? How do innovative climate change ideas come about for the city? At the global climate change hackathon “Climathon,” everyone is invited to get involved locally and to be part of the solution. This year's Climathon takes place on October 26 in more than 100 cities on six continents, including Zurich.
Startups, entrepreneurs, students, developers, and creative thinkers gather for 24 hours to find new solutions to local climate change issues. They work together on specific challenges in the areas of food, energy, green spaces in the city and mobility and sponsored by the City of Zurich and Energie 360°.
Experts and mentors will be on site to help teams find solutions. The winning teams will receive funding and coaching to accelerate their idea and/or further develop their idea with the support of the EIT Climate-KIC, the City of Zurich and Energie 360°.
